Placing of the identification information on the recording of an audio-visual programme
The registration or age-category information issued by the Finnish Board
of Film Classification shall be marked on the back or front side of
the product packaging, in its lower part.
The age rating of programs in on-demand service has to appear in connection
with other statutory information.
Other statutory information: the name and duration of the programme and other such information may be marked on the packaging freely.
Models for marking the identification information
The identification number of the audio-visual programme shall be marked on the yellow base of the sticker indicating the age-category. If the EAN code of the programme is registered as the identification number of the programme, the name of the company distributing the programme shall be printed instead of the identification number.
Unclassified. For all ages. The programme contains music,
sports, travelling or other material referred to in section 4 of the Act.

The programme has been sent on television and it is not considered harmful
for persons over 7 years of age. Not recommended for persons under
that age. (Section 4 a)
Unclassified.
The programme has been sent on television during a weekday after 5 pm. and
it is not considered harmful for persons over 11 years of age. Not
recommended for persons under that age. (Section 4 a)
Unclassified.
The programme has been sent on television during a weekday after 7 pm. and
it is not considered harmful for persons over 13 years of age. Not
recommended for persons under that age. (Section 4 a)
Unclassified.
Only for persons over 18 years. The programme may be conveyed only
to a person who has attained the age of 18.
If the EAN code on the recording is registered as the identification number
of the programme, the name of the company distributing the programme shall
be printed on the yellow base instead of the identification number.
Printing of the identification information
The age category and the identification number or the name of the distributor company shall be printed on the yellow base as follows
If the importer or producer has the identification information printed on the packaging, the models referred to above shall be complied with in the printing (the size of the "sticker" may be enlarged as long as its dimensions remain the same).

Yellow rectangular: 12 mm (height) x 35 mm (width)

Exhibition of an unclassified audio-visual programme
When exhibiting an unclassified audio-visual programme, the register extract issued by the Finnish Board of Film Classification on the programme indicating inter alia the age category and the distributor of the film shall accompany the exhibition copy. The register extract shall be issued free of charge in connection with the submission of the notification. The register extract of an audio-visual programme registered earlier shall be subject to a charge.
Marketing of audio-visual programmes
The age category of a film should be disclosed in connection with the marketing of audio-visual programmes in order for the consumer to have information thereon prior to the acquisition of a recording or arrival to an exhibition of a film.
