The party applying for the classification may lodge an appeal against the decision of the Finnish Board of Film Classification with the Appeal Board of Film Classification. The appeal shall be handled as urgent. More detailed instructions on the lodging of an appeal shall be issued in the appeal instructions appended to the classification decision. No other than the party applying for classification shall have the right of appeal.

An appeal against a decision of the Appeal Board of Film Classification shall further be lodged with the Supreme Administrative Court, which shall also handle the appeal as urgent.
