If the game packaging is equipped with the Pan-European PEGI symbol, no other marking is necessary.

If the game packaging is not equipped with a PEGI symbol, the game shall be equipped with a domestic age-category marking. Registration and classification information shall be marked on the back or front side of the product packaging, at its lower part. The marking shall be made by printing the identification information in accordance with the instructions issued by the Finnish Board of Film Classification

by using detachable stickers in accordance with the marking model. The stickers are manufactured by many undertakings, for example Edita (contact person Kalle Leskinen, telephone 020 450 2587, email firstname.lastname@edita.fi) or Tertial Finland Oy Uudenmaan keskuspaino (contact person: Tuomo Sajaniemi, telephone 040 547 6935, email: myynti@avilant.inet.fi).

Other statutory information: the name of the programme and the name of the manufacturer or importer may be placed freely on the packaging.

Models for marking the identification information on games subject to notification (no PEGI symbol)

If the EAN code of the game packaging is not used as the identification number of the game, the identification number issued for the game by the Finnish Board of Film Classification shall be printed on the yellow base of the identification sticker.

Game suitable for all ages..

 

Recommended age-category over 7 years. The game may be conveyed to persons of all ages.

 

Recommended age-category over 12 years. The game may be conveyed to persons of all ages.

 

Recommended age-category over 16 years. The game may be conveyed to persons of all ages.

 

Only for persons over 18 years. The programme may be conveyed only to a person who has attained the age of 18.

Printing the identification information

If the importer or manufacturer has the identification information printed on the packaging, the models referred to above shall be complied with in the printing (the size of the "sticker" may be enlarged as long as its dimensions remain the same).

Yellow rectangular: 12 mm (height) x 35 mm (width)
Diameter of the age-category circle: 10 mm
Age-category square: 10 mm x 10 mm
