The age-category markings of classified computer and video games are the same as of other classified audio-visual programmes.

The marking shall be made by printing the identification information in accordance with the instructions below or by using detachable stickers which may be ordered for example from Edita (contact person: Kalle Leskinen, telephone 020 450 2587, email first name.last name@edita.fi) or from Uudenmaan keskuspaino (contact person: Tuomo Sajaniemi, telephone 040 547 6935, email: myynti@uudenmaankeskuspaino.fi).

Placing of the identification information on the recording

The registration or age-category information issued by the Finnish Board of Film Classification shall be marked on the back or front side of the product packaging, on its lower part.

Other statutory information: the name of the programme and other such information may be marked on the packaging freely.

Models for marking the identification information

For all ages. In older audio-visual programmes, the age-category symbol is S/T.

 

Only for persons over 7 years. The programme may be conveyed only to a person who has attained the age of 7.

 

Only for persons over 11 years. The programme may be conveyed only to a person who has attained the age of 11.

 

Only for persons over 13 years. The programme may be conveyed only to a person who has attained the age of 13.

 

Only for persons over 15 years. The programme may be conveyed only to a person who has attained the age of 15.

 

Only for persons over 18 years. The programme may be conveyed only to a person who has attained the age of 18.

The classification number starting with P shall be printed next to the age category on the yellow base.

If the importer or manufacturer has the identification information printed on the packaging, the models referred to above shall be complied with in the printing (the size of the "sticker" may be enlarged as long as its dimensions remain the same).

The size and colours of the identification marking:

Yellow rectangular: 12 mm (height) x 35 mm (width)
Diameter of the age-category circle: 10 mm
Age-category square: 10 mm x 10 mm
Yellow base: PMS 108
Green (S/T): PMS 361
Yellow (7): PMS 143
Orange (11): PMS 144
Darker orange (15): PMS 158
Red (18): PMS 179
