Placing of the identification information on a pornographic audio-visual programme recording

The audio-visual programme to be distributed (sold, rented or otherwise conveyed) shall be marked as required by the law as follows:

No markings shall be made on the actual recording (video cassette, DVD). The identification and age-category information issued by the Finnish Board of Film Classification shall be marked on the back or front side of the product packaging, in its lower part.

The markings are made by printing the identification information in accordance with the instructions of the Finnish Board of Film Classification

by using detachable stickers, which may be ordered for example from Edita (contact person: Kalle Leskinen, telephone 020 450 2587, email first name.last name@edita.fi) or from Uudenmaan keskuspaino (contact person: Tuomo Sajaniemi, telephone 040 547 6935, email: myynti@uudenmaankeskuspaino.fi).
Other statutory information: the name and duration of the programme and other such information may be marked on the packaging freely.

Model for marking the identification information

The identification number of the audio-visual programme shall be marked on the yellow base of the sticker indicating the age-category. If the EAN code of the recording is registered as the identification number of the programme, the name of the company distributing the programme shall be printed instead of the identification number.

If the importer or manufacturer has the identification information printed on the packaging, the models referred to above shall be complied with in the printing (the size of the "sticker" may be enlarged as long as its dimensions remain the same).

The size and colours of the identification marking:

Yellow rectangular: 12 mm (height) x 35 mm (width)
Age-category square: 10 mm
Yellow base: PMS 108
